Head of AFL/W Academy Mr Bristow awarded School Ambassador for South Fremantle District

The West Australian Football Commission(WAFC) Secondary School Ambassador of the year award recognises outstanding contribution to the football community by Secondary School teachers across the State.  In 2018 the WAFC received more than 100 nominations which was then shortlisted to 29 finalists across all nine West Australian Football League (WAFL) Districts. For 2018, Mr Bristow was awarded AFL Ambassador of the year for the South Fremantle District for his role in establishing the SJGS AFL/W Academy and helping with junior development at multiple junior clubs throughout the district. 

Year 5/6 Girls bring home Dockers Cup! 

The year 5/6 girls participated at the West Australian Football Commission multi-sport carnival on Friday 19 October. The carnival was a girls only event consisting of netball, cricket and AFL matches throughout the day. The girls had a great day out and were good enough to win their AFL division of the carnival, bringing home the Docker's Cup trophy for 2018. Well done to all the girls involved and to Miss Dhu and Miss O'Sullivan for their efforts in coaching the teams.
