School Banking
Well done to the Martin children who have reached a milestone with their banking last week. Well done to Pippa, Kemp, Jed and Tommy!
Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School have teamed up with Byford & Districts Bendigo Bank to provide School Banking for our students.
What Bendigo Bank think of School Banking
Whether it's for the latest craze in computer games, for a new bike or just for a rainy day, we all know it's never too early for our kids to start learning about the benefits of budgeting and saving.
At Bendigo Bank, we've made school banking interesting, as well as educational, an ideal approach for kids just starting out on their learning journey.
A key plank of our school banking is the six-week 'Get with the Program' financial literacy initiative. Combining fun with new information and experiences, it was developed by our branch staff as part of their work with local communities, teachers and students.
It makes sense that a bank recognised for its commitment to customers and the communities in which it operates, is delivering an educational program and school banking structure that delivers ongoing results for students, teachers and the broader community.
How School Banking Works at SJGS
Students can hand in their student banking books to front reception on Wednesday mornings between 8am and 8.30am. These banking books will then be taken to Byford & Districts Bendigo Bank for processing and returned to the student in their class that afternoon.
Parent Volunteers
Thank you to Mrs Zoe Bosveld who has taken on the role of ' Chief Banking Officer'!
