Primary School Sports Carnival

On Friday 13 October, the Primary School Athletics Carnival went off with a bang! The day was filled with sunshine, team spirit and lots of happy faces. A special mention to our parent helpers Alison Paterson, Natalie Quinlan, Lisa Colley and Nicole May for assisting as group leaders on the day.

Whitby came away with a win of 2917 points while Yarrabah totalled 2336 points - an amazing effort from both houses!

All students should be extremely proud of their efforts leading up to and on carnival day, well done!

Whilst the Primary School students took part in their carnival games last Friday so did the Pre Kindergarten children. They played carnival games such as the egg and spoon race, quoits, bean bag toss, pass ball and also completed an obstacle course. The Pre Kindergarten class started the running races off with a 50m sprint (some children enjoyed the whole experience so much that they ran back and forth down the track a few times too many!).
