Orientation Day

Thursday 23 November, orientation day was held for our new students commencing their learning at SJGS from Kindergarten to year 7 in 2018. Our Primary students enjoyed a morning with their soon to be 'class mates' enjoying a range of fun filled activities. Our year 7 students stepped into the shoes of 'secondary students' as they experienced moving from class to class to meet their specialist subject teachers throughout the day. Head of Science Mr Robert Andersson had organsied some thrilling experiments including the classic 'Elephant Toothpaste' experiment where the student got to witness what happens when hydrogen peroxide and potassium Iodide react! The lucky year 7's were also treated to a sausage sizzle prepared for them by the year 11 prefect elect team.

It was so lovley to see the current SJGS students welcome the new students into our school community.
