Primary School Athletics Carnival

Please take note of the following points related to the carnival

• The carnival spans all day. Activities will run throughout the whole day for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Students should arrive at School at the usual time and will leave at the usual time. If parents wish to take children home before the bell, the class teacher MUST be found, and the child(ren) must be signed out by the parent/caregiver/adult with that teacher;

• Children in Kindergarten and Pre-Primary should wear the blue striped t-shirt. This allows them to be easily identified on the oval;

• Children in Years 1-6 should wear the house shirt (Whitby or Yarrabah);

• Children can have face paint or hair spray, although this should not be applied at School. It should have been applied beforehand;

• The timing of lunch is slightly different to normal School days. The canteen is aware of this and lunch orders can be provided as normal. A sausage sizzle is also available;

• The School gates will remain open; however, cars should not park on the Primary oval or on the oval side of the road;

• Childrens' achievements will be celebrated on the day. If time allows, presentations will take place on the day. If not, this will be done via an assembly;

• Children who require preventative asthma medication should have taken this prior to the event, at home;

• Children who require Ventolin or similar products, should have this with them;

• Children who are at risk of anaphylaxis and who require an EpiPen should carry this with them. We will also have School EpiPens.
