Sports Awards Night
On Wednesday 22 November we held our Inaugural Sports Awards Night. Over 60 students were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts and contribution sport both in and outside of school. Most valuable player, Team Player, Volunteers and State Representatives were all acknowledged for their achievements in a wide range of sports from School Netball to Australian Air Force Cadets Shooting.
Female Jockey Lucy Warwick addressed the students with the message that even if others doubt your ability or tell you your physicality will stop you from achieving great things – Don't let it stop you,go out and do it anyway!
The Sports Man and Woman of the Year award went to year 12 students Mathew De Groot and Kate Inglis-Hodge.
After the success of the night, this event will be held annually.
A huge thank you to Kevin & Jackie from Distinctive Trophies for sponsoring the evenings awards.
