Book Week 2019

An annual celebration of books written for young children, Book Week aims to inspire and encourage a love of reading. We kicked off the week in style with students and staff dressing up as their favourite storybook characters. Students had a great day and took part in a parade to showcase their wonderful costumes.

As part of the week long celebrations, students participated in community reading activities and topped off the week with a book swap. Combining the profits raised from the Primary School Learning Journey Sausage Sizzle together with the Book Swap, students raised valuable funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, where every $50 raised places 5 new books into the hands of Indigenous children. Well done to all of our Primary School students for their contribution to a great cause. Happy reading!!
