Our Year 1 students stepped back in time today and got to experience things from "the olden days". They had an absolute ball and really got into the spirit of the day with fantastic outfits (as did the teachers!), a fun attitude and willingness to try all things old!! Games played included elastics, knucklebones, marbles and hopscotch. Then it was inside for activities such as making scones, churning and washing butter, washing clothes in a tub, calligraphy writing and charcoal drawing. You could not wipe the smiles off their faces if you tried, they loved every minute of it, Hats off to the teaching staff for organising such a wonderful, fun, well structured day.
