On Wednesday the 28^th of October 2020, the Pre-Primary children went on their very first school excursion to Kings Park Rio Tinto Naturescape. It was an action-packed day filled with climbing, exploring, observing and discovering, with the main theme of the day being Perth’s first people.

We learnt how the Noongar people use plants and animals for food, medicine, tools and shelter with a focus on the roles of women and children. We also explored Noongar language and engaged in traditional activities.

The children loved their free play in the Naturescape making mud pies, spotting lizards, tadpoles and birds, climbing tall towers and cooling off in the creek.

It was a fantastic excursion with many positive comments from students, parents and teachers.
