Welcome back to SJGS for 2018!

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a well rested and safe holiday period and are ready to tackle 2018! As you are all aware we developed a new strategic plan (see our website) and we propose to spend a year on each of the values on our crest. These are Community, Integrity and Humility. This means that 2018 is the year we will spend celebrating "Community" and it will form the basis of what we plan and do. This year is set to be a great one.

Early Learning Centre

Our new Early Learning Centre is complete and looks fantastic! Our Pre-Kindergarten to Pre-Primary students are exceptionally lucky. This sees our two stream Kindergarten commence this year and the parking for parents with students in this area has been completed with some changes from 2017. ALL parking bays on the left hand side of the slip lane are for drop off and pick up with NO STOPPING. For safety reasons, there are absolutely no cars allowed to stop on the oval side at all. If you wish to visit the school for an extended period of time, you are requested to park in front of administration. This will enable us to ensure the safety of our littlest ones.

Wellstrand Centre (Gym)

Over the holidays the gym has undergone a huge transformation. The stage has had a face lift with professional theatre lighting, stage curtains, sound system and a new LED projection screen. Large fans have also been installed to make summer in the gym a little more enjoyable!

Registration

I am delighted to inform the community that we successfully received a 5 year extension to our registration as a school, this is the maximum any school can get and I thank all our staff for the hard work and effort they put in to achieve this.
